Don't fall asleep on the ferry April 26 -- you might wake up in Campbell River.
The Queen of Capilano will nbe making a one-day trip to Campbell River, to see how it fits in the dock there.
B.C. Ferries spokesman Paul Curtis said because the Capilano is similar in size to the recently announced Century class ferry now being designed, the company wants to check the fit between the dock and the vessel.
There are identical-sized docks elsewhere in B.C.
The first of the new ferries is due to be in service by the summer of 1996.
Curtis said that since the Capilano is relatively new, there are no plans to replace it, though it could be redeployed.
The Mayne Queen will take the place of the Capilano for one day, April 27.
Since the Mayne Queen is smaller, delays can be expected in the later afternoon and early evening.
